Paige Cool, PMHNP - BC

I am a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and I received my master’s degree from the University of Rochester. I have 10 years of experience working in psychiatry ranging from outpatient clinics across the life span, child and adolescent inpatient settings, and partial hospitalization programs. I work with children and adolescents as well as adults.

Since 2019 I have lived and worked as a nurse practitioner in Denver, Colorado and have now returned to Rochester to work as a nurse practitioner. Through my experience I have seen how difficult it can be to find a provider you trust as well as how important mental health treatment is. I strive to provide the care you deserve and I see the importance in understanding each person’s history to create an individualized plan that aligns with your goals.

I am passionate about working with the child and adolescent population as well as adults. I provide medication management to clients across the lifespan. My goals are to create a supportive and safe environment where a therapeutic relationship can be filled with respect, trust and understanding.

I utilize evidence based practice in treating clients while creating an open and collaborative approach. I look forward to meeting you!

Heidi Cropp, PMHNP - BC

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a master’s degree from the University of Rochester. I bring nine years of experience in the mental health and chemical dependency field, supporting individuals across the lifespan in emergency psychiatry, outpatient care, foster care systems, and inpatient substance use treatment.

I enjoy working with people of all ages—from children to older adults—and provide comprehensive medication management services.

Living in a rural area of Western New York, I’ve seen firsthand how challenging it can be to access mental health care when you’re ready to seek help. My goal is to make these services more accessible for individuals facing barriers such as transportation, geography, or other challenges.

I believe in building genuine connections with those I care for, taking time to hear each person’s story and collaborate on addressing their most pressing concerns. Every individual brings a unique set of struggles—as well as strengths—and I strive to honor that in every interaction.

My aim is to provide a warm, welcoming, and safe environment, offering evidence-based care with a collaborative, person-centered approach—meeting you where you are.

Kristina Flemming Friedell, PMHNP - BC

I am a board certified adult psychiatric nurse practitioner. I received my master’s degree in nursing from Yale University. I completed a postgraduate fellowship program at the Institute of Living at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut and received advanced training in adult psychiatry, trauma informed care, and psychotherapy. I spent my early career in academic medicine working in acute psychiatry at Yale Psychiatric Hospital.

I relocated to New York’s Capital Region in 2024 and have seen the challenges many face trying to find compassionate and client centered care. Coming from academic medicine, my prescribing philosophy is rooted in evidence-based practice and shared decision making. I believe psychiatric medications can help people show up in their lives whether that means being able to engage fully with their families, friends or colleagues or utilizing therapeutic techniques.

I work primarily with adults. My areas of focus are depression, anxiety, and PTSD. I also hold a certificate in perinatal mental health from Postpartum Support International. With each session, I hope to make clients feel heard and empowered as we work together to create the best treatment plan for you.
